Every year, we host a charitable event with all proceeds going to a charity of our choice, this year it is The Tree of Hope which is a registered charity helping families with children who have severe disabilities and health care needs.
It was founded in 1992 and has run for the last 25 years.
There are 770,000 children in the UK with disabilities and only 8% get services from their local authorities.
The Tree of Hope is only a small team of 10 and yet they are able to help fund families who’s children need special equipment, physical therapy, special treatments that are not available on the NHS as well as much needed support for the families, advice and to help relieve the financial burdens. It costs 3 times more to raise a disabled child as it does with a child without disabilities. The monies raised for each child are held in a trust meaning that fundraising money is only used for their medical needs.
This charity was chosen by our customers and we couldn’t be more happy with their choice. After meeting with Kate from the tree of hope we were firstly devastated to hear what these children and their families have to go through, but secondly elated that we could help in some way. Our aim is to get their name out there; such a small charity needs people like us to let families know they are there for them, some families are completely isolated and have no idea that this charity is out there for them as well as their children.
These children are the hero’s - we’re just here to help give them their powers.
This year we will be hosting Denny's fest on September 1st from 9 am to 7 pm and everyone is invited. See the flyer above for the event details.
Below are some images of the artists who will be playing on this special day.
